TWELVE NAMES OF LORD ŚRĪ CAITANYA MAHĀPRABHU

TEXT 1

चैतन्यः कृष्ण-चैतन्यो गौराङ्गो द्विज-नायकः
यतीनाम् दण्डिनां चैव न्यासिनां च शिरोमणिः

caitanyaḥ kṛṣṇa-caitanyo gaurāṅgo dvija-nāyakaḥ
yatīnām daṇḍināṁ caiva nyāsināṁ ca śiromaṇiḥ

Caitanya––the living force, Kṛṣṇa Caitanya––the all-attractive Supreme living force, Gaurāṅga––He of fair bodily complexion, Dvija-Nayāka––the hero amongst the twice-born brahamanas, Yatīnām Śiromaṇi––the crest-jewel of sannyasis (who wander freely), Daṇḍināṁ Śiromaṇ––the crest-jewel of sannyasis (who carry staffs), Nyāsināṁ Śiromaṇi––the crest-jewel of sannyasis (who renounce everything).

TEXT 2

रक्ताम्बर-धरः श्रीमान् नवद्वीप-सुधाकरः
प्रेम-भक्ति-प्रदश् चैव श्री-शची-नन्दनस् तथा

raktāmbara-dharaḥ śrīmān navadvīpa-sudhākaraḥ
prema-bhakti-pradaś caiva śrī-śacī-nandanas tathā

Raktāmbara-Dhara––He Who wears red cloth, Śrīmān––the supremely opulent one, Navadvīpa-Sudhākara––the source of nectar in Navadvipa, Prema-Bhakti-Pradaś––the bestower of ecstatic loving devotion, Śrī-Śaci-Nandana––the delightful son of Sacimata.

TEXT 3

द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्री-सन्ध्यम् यः पठेन् नरः
तस्य वाञ्छ-सुसिद्धिः स्यात् भक्तिः श्रील पदाम्बुजे

dvādaśaitāni nāmāni trī-sandhyam yaḥ paṭhen naraḥ
tasya vāñcha-susiddhiḥ syāt bhaktiḥ śrīla padāmbuje

That person who recites these twelve holy names of Lord Caitanya three times a day (at dawn, noon and dusk) will achieve the perfection of all their best desires, and will attain pure devotion unto the divine lotus feet of Lord Caitanya.”
